Create a FileClick the create file link above.Type in the box between the <body> and the </body> tags Type a name in the filename box and click SAVE The page will now be displayed in the bottom part of the screen while the editable document is in the top. The SAVE link is in the top left of the edit window. If you are logged on when you click SAVE, you will be able to edit this file later: The file you create will be listed in the left frame. If you are logged on you will see a white square next to the filename, a document icon. Click this icon to open the file again in the edit window. |
Upload FileClick the Browse...button above. This opens a file dialog to choose a file. After you select the file to upload, click Upload File. Optionally, you may enter a name in the box above that. This can be any name you choose, this will be what is displayed in the link text on the left navigation area after it is uploaded. You don't have to put the file type extension, e.g., jpg. But it is useful for other people to more easily identify the file.Just about any kind of file you have on your computer can be upload to a folder. But please don't experiment. Image files, text files, music, other documents. You know content when you see it. There is a Bug in Macintosh Internet Explorer (IE) v4.5 that prevents file uploads for most types of files. Macintosh Netscape v4 and higher work fine. Macintosh IE v5 has fixed this problem. PC versions of IE and Netscape v4+ all work. |
New FolderEnter a name in the box belowClick on If you do not see a new folder with the name you entered after the page redraws then click Refresh, or Reload. You are always in a folder. When you create a new Folder you can click on it to go into that folder. The folder you were in before you clicked becomes the parent folder. The ..Parent link will bring you back up. This site is structured just like your computer's file system. You can create folders inside of folders indefinitely. Fill them up with pages and text files and images, or word docs, even spreadsheets or MP3 files... If you try to create a new folder with the same name as an existing folder in the folder you are in, you will get a nasty Zope error. Just click the Back button on your browser. |
